Welcome to Little Meadow Blooms.

I’m Deanna, living in the beautiful countryside of Essex.

I always dreamed of having my own little outdoor space to create a beautiful sanctuary for not only myself to enjoy but nature too. A few years ago, when we bought our first house I couldn’t wait to get started on the garden. It slowly transformed into my favourite place in the world. I decided on a career change from animal keeping into gardening and studied an RHS Horticulture course. From being a self employed gardener, my love for flowers grew.

I am fortunate enough to have an allotment where I grow all of my favourite fruit and veg. It’s also home to my Dahlia patch, which was recently featured in House Beautiful magazine. Our garden is my place of calm, it’s aesthetically pleasing and also part wild for the benefit of nature. Our front garden is where I grow all of my cut flowers.

The impact gardening and growing has had on my mental health has been wonderful and one of the reasons I would love to make a career in Horticulture. The reason I chose floristry is down to the art and creativeness. You can let your imagination run wild, every creation is unique and different, especially with using seasonal flowers. The joy of bringing the outside in is one I love to share.

I look forward to hearing from you. If you would like to follow my sustainable floristry journey, take a look at my social media pages where you will see beautiful blooms, our gorgeous hens and the wildlife that visits my garden.

Thank you, Deanna x
